The Alpha Gamma Rho UTM Building Corp. understands that we must begin now to secure the funding that will be needed to build our next Chapter House. Today that need may seem far off, but as we continue to grow into the future, that time will come. To help with this future need, our building corp. is working with alumni to find additional funding options that will allow more brothers to participate. AGR Alumni and the AGR UTM Building Corp. recently approved a new funding program with a Memphis based company called My Fundraising Goal .com (MFG).

MFG is unique in that it does not take away or compete with dollars that are normally given as a cash donation to our building fund. Here’s how it works.

On this page is an Icon with a picture of a steak and the words, “Gourmet Foods Fundraiser” This link will send you to our new fundraising web site. Please read the following information before you go there so you’ll understand how to use and maximize the benefits of this funding program.

Profits are generated from the on-line purchase of Gourmet Foods and then deposited monthly into our building corp. account. Our profits are equal to 17% (on average), of the purchase price of each product which is the difference between the retail and wholesale price. It’s simple and easy to use and anyone can participate, even members of your own family, as well as your friends and business clients. All purchases made in your name will be tracked and credited toward your total giving to our building fund.

Here’s how you participate.

Click on the GOURMET FOODS FUNDRAISER Icon and you will be sent directly to our fundraising store. Alpha Gamma Rho UTM Building Corp. To shop, just click on the All Products Page. Here you can view all current gourmet food products and gift certificates, add them to your shopping cart and follow the checkout instructions. If you send someone outside our chapter to our store, you need to tell them to enter your name in the Student ID box which is just above the shipping method selection. This will give you credit for the purchase and add the profits to your total giving. However, just like any other food you purchase, you cannot count the 17% profit to AGR as a gift for tax purposes. Of course any food you purchase for business purposes can be counted as a business expense.

All meat products are shipped from MFG’s sister company, Empire Foods Memphis plant by FedEx which saves you 30% on shipping over any other dry ice meat shippers in the US. Empire Foods is the largest independent meat broker in the U.S. and has never had a recall on any product in their 54 years in business. Remember that when you order these products, you are getting gourmet quality food, which are select cuts, hand trimmed to remove external fat. You will also pay 25% less per pound than any other on-line supplier and we get 17% back for our chapter house building fund.
